Dark Deals

As one who loves bike parts I frequently find my self looking to sell to old to finance the new.  I will post them here before I resort to selling on ebay.   If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

 A-train cyclocross frame 56cm — $1400

I built this cyclocross frame a around a year ago with some rare downtime.  It has been hanging up in my shop as a display piece ever since, it has collected enough dust and now I am looking to sell it.  The frame currently sits unpainted but the $1400 price tag includes a premium powder coat from Spectrum Powder Works in whatever color you fancy.  The frame is built using Columbus tubing and Paragon Machine Works dropouts.  The dropouts are horizontal with a derailleur hanger so you can easily run it single speed or geared.  As a special bonus the non-drive side dropout also has a handy bottle opener for your favorite beverage.  Also, the rear brake cable runs internally through the top tube for crud free cables and easy shouldering.  One of my favorite features on this frame is the curvaceous seat stays that bend gracefully around the rear tire.  I could say the curves are there to dampen road vibrations and make for a smoother ride (and they likely do) but I really think they primarily look cool.

Sizing is as follows:

  • Top tube length (effective) – 56.5cm
  • Seat tube length (effective) – 56cm
  • Head tube length – 170mm
  • Top tube angle – 6°

 A-train Cycles frameset — $1100
This was a frame I built for myself largely as a display piece, It has fewer than a hundred miles on it.  The frame features a complete Columbus Spirit tube set, fancy lugs, Paragon Machine Works dropouts, and a stellar green pearl powder coat  from Spectrum Powder Works in Colorado Springs.   The geometry it pretty straight forward: 73 degree head and seat tube angles, 54cm c-c seat tube, and the top tube is 54.5cm c-c.  It is a road frame designed for going fast, let me know if you want more info on the geometry.  The fork is a Ritchey WCS Carbon with an MSRP of $370 and the headset is a Chris King, enough said.
NOTE: Pictured is the complete bike, I am only selling the frame, fork, and headset.
